Floor plan - Ideas for a 140m² single-family house

For hot water in summer, a solar system is planned. We naturally want to have the heat demand calculated beforehand before we decide 100% on the heating.

But it only works during the day, right... so you burn your hands during the day, but if you want to shower in the morning, only lukewarm water comes out... so with 5 people, you have to count on 1000L of storage and accordingly a large system on the roof... so that even the last person can still shower with warm water... otherwise, there won't be enough hot water for everyone... so solar thermal, etc. with 5 people, you really have to be careful with what is planned...

Then I ask myself why it has worked well to very well with my parents since 1988. Besides, solar thermal energy is only a "support".

How old is the system? How is the control? How big is the storage? How big are the collectors?

And the most important: How do you know it works?
