Why then the huge office? Plan the living space so that the living room can be separated in old age (which already works with the current floor plan anyway)
As I said, the office will be made smaller. Separating the living room is a good idea. We hadn’t even had that on our radar yet.
A parking space has no walls around it, meaning: you can also open the doors over the 5.5 m. That is not possible in a garage. Better to build a single garage with enough space and a parking spot. Or completely do without the garage and build a double carport. That is enough so you don’t have to scrape in winter, but since here, too, the side walls are missing, it requires less space than a garage.
We currently have an average parking space. I already meant and also measured the distance from our car to the parked neighbor’s car. But I agree with you that it’s tight.
Hardly anyone can remember all that stuff here. It’s best if you put something like that into a sketch with labels.
You’re right... Sketch attached. Please note!! The plot sketch is now oriented to the north! As an example, the 9x11 house is drawn in with a double garage 9x6.
With the double garage (5.8 m wide) and an 11 m house, 4 m remain towards the south.
I would first be interested in the budget – did I overlook that? 180 m², basement, double garage plus the usual additional construction costs... you are well over 500K here. Is that planned?
We are budgeting max. 600K for the house, additional construction costs, double garage, outdoor facilities, and kitchen. Financially, we would also have some room to maneuver. I don’t want to go into details here, that would be a separate topic in the construction costs forum. For now, I see that the house will probably be smaller than 180 sqm.
