I find the EG1 draft quite interesting. However, I am very bothered by the fact that the property practically has hardly any garden area left. Only green strips. Therefore, I would start again from the [Urschleim] and reconsider how to position the house so that there is an attractive garden area with an acceptable depth for a terrace and a flower bed. I might also adapt the house shape accordingly.

I also don’t find the layout on the property very nice. The terrace only has a small corner facing southeast and in the southwest is the entrance door and a lot of space.

Best regards
Sabine

We are also considering making the house less wide so that the green strip in the south does not become too narrow. Possibly we will narrow the side with the front door and extend the side by the garage. When we sit outside, it will probably be rather in the evenings. Therefore, we have neglected the southeast direction and focused on the west / southwest. We would go from the kitchen-dining area to the terrace and make a small planted privacy screen towards the front door and driveway.

If the west side is so important (I would feel the same), why not relocate the garage and entrance to the east?

It doesn't fit the local appearance, everyone on the street has house and garage placed like this, see picture. We have already considered your idea.
