Would it still be a field in Google Earth?

The advantage of having a bit of distance would be that you could extend the terrace around the corner to have breakfast there on weekends in the summer...

And what speaks against staying on the normal terrace and having the view of the water? If you want to extend a terrace around the corner, you would basically be sitting in the neighbor's garden. And 2m for the terrace doesn't do you any good. You can't even put a table there and eat with 4 people because there’s no room to walk or you have to step onto the lawn...
3m terrace width and then only a tiny strip of green remains... It also looks rather poor.
Either way, you will stay on the main terrace and the gain of 1m garage width is clearly better than a second seating area somehow squeezed into the corner.

Thanks for the feedback. I also see the terrace in the west. I think the garage will also be made a bit wider. We will look at garages at relatives and also try to drive in. So far we have only measured them...
