Once again briefly on the WC discussion on the ground floor: my suggestion was to swap the kitchen and sofa corner. And if you do that, you could swap the WC and storage room to make the storage area a pantry. This wouldn’t change the WC/entrance situation, since it doesn't matter if the WC door on the ground floor is moved by 1 meter or not. Whether you then change the layout a bit to accommodate a shower is a matter of taste. ;)
I would find the swap of kitchen and sofa corner advantageous, since the living area would be less narrow and would connect directly to the terrace and the granny flat (for possible breakthrough). The kitchen would also be better separated in the open space, and by combining the pantry with the storage room, you save space. The currently drawn short wall could be kept to separate kitchen/dining a bit from living. This short wall could also be designed more open (as a shelf, half-high, or a combination thereof). And a access from the kitchen to the terrace can be done on the south side (or you could simply forgo it, since the 3 meter walk past the dining table is no big deal). Besides, on the west side you can then design two large lift-and-slide doors (one at the dining table, one at the living area) to make the indoor/outdoor transition even more open and generous.
Great approaches, we will make a draft taking all of this into account, thanks.
The plot is really great, and maybe you can move the house a bit further north to make the south side more open.
What do you mean by making the south side more open?
