The ground floor is still available as well

You are building a house for 4 adults, which accordingly requires space and is planned to be large. The cost estimate is net?! Most providers at least state it as net. Added up, the estimate would then be 320,250 euros. Including tax, it would easily be over 380k euros... and the amounts are certainly worth verifying content-wise, for example electrical: 8,967 euros... we didn’t even manage that as DIY, probably rather double that depending on the house size and equipment.

So the boy will be gone in 4 years, the girl in 6... and you are building expensive spaces just because of the hope of having conceived the exceptional children? Rental apartments are simply extremely rare in the countryside, whereas single-family houses are rather very spacious. An attic can be converted into a small apartment or the basement can be repurposed. Many also stay. Multi-generational households still exist, with all their pros and cons.
