Colors play an important role in nature and also trigger emotions in humans. Therefore, skillful color combinations can make life happier. So no, we were not forced and consciously decided and designed it that way.

The cheerful green harmonizes very well with the wood tones of the kitchen, and the sand colors in the bathrooms suggest a beach feeling together with the water, etc.

Ask ypg about that, she is so smart and knows that walls don’t breathe, so clay plaster is pointless. I see it differently and am curious about Hampshire’s experiences.

It's not about breathing; clay plaster is supposed to absorb moisture and release it again. In addition, it should be a good solution acoustically.

But that's exactly what it's about, that's what is meant by it. Sound would also be interesting.

Our children have applied clay plaster in some rooms of their old house. I am very enthusiastic about it.. The bedroom, for example, always smells somehow fresh.. even though the son-in-law is supposed to sweat a lot at night.. We have to compensate for that by ventilating at our place.. I have already considered whether one could simply place ready-made clay boards behind the cupboards (you don’t see them there) or under the bed.. it’s just an idea..

Yes, we are very satisfied. The indoor climate is really only a topic when you talk about it or want to consciously relax. There is simply always good air for completely free breathing. Basically like being outside – if that makes sense.

Of course, I don’t have an identical comparison room to determine if everything would be the same with normal paint on the wall – so my report proves nothing.

In our room people live, cook, gather, and sleep. Cooking smells disappear quite quickly – even without using the extractor hood. Even with fish or onion dishes. Also, I don’t get “red eyes” in our house like so often in other houses or offices.

At Christmas we had a big game night with 8 people. For hours. No one thought about opening the window. The effect of coming from outside into such a room and thinking “phew – stuffy air” did not occur.

I think that the clay plaster is a major factor for the very pleasant indoor climate. Surely the large air volume, the acoustic ceiling, and consistently natural materials also contribute to the pleasant stay.

As I said, it’s not scientific – from my point of view, definitely recommendable.
