Fire protection door necessary?

we are planning a direct access from the garage to the house and have been informed that we must install a T30 door. However, since we want to design the house entrance keyless, the builder is confronted with this requirement. There are not really many providers who offer a T30 door with a motor lock and the corresponding fingerprint.

Therefore, the question arises whether this T30 door is legally required at all. If yes, what if we have the garage installed later after the house handover has already taken place? Could we then install a side entrance door?

So first of all: You can do a lot. But you are not allowed to. And if your hut burns down, you must not get upset about the stupid questions from the fire insurance, if you are still able to at that point.

Don't be mad at me, but anything other than a fire protection door is irresponsible in my eyes.

There is at least one keyless system from Burg-Wächter that I know of, which can be fitted into any ordinary standard cylinder. Therefore, I do not accept this "excuse."

Thank you for the note. Then we will use the wireless solution from Burg Wächter instead of the fixed wiring and that’s that. I don’t want to get into trouble with the insurance.

I have installed a safe door security level B, 235 kg with electronic combination locks on both sides as a door between the garage and the basement. This was not enough. A T30 door had to be installed. Now, from the garage side, I have a safe door, 40 cm further a fire protection door.
Such a T30 door costs just about 200 euros. I installed it myself. Calling this door burglar-resistant would be a bit exaggerated. It doesn't hold up against anything. So I would not use such a door as a side entrance door.
