Doesn't really blow me away either.
Let's break down what I don't like. Ultimately, it's a matter of taste.
Street view the upper floor looks chopped off as if something is missing above the garage - probably can't be helped.
Side view this mix of gable roof and cubic style really doesn't appeal at all. It's like an Alpine country house with Tuscan columns.
Floor plan
Something completely different from the typical single-family house with 2 children's rooms and, for budget reasons, rather square, practical, well planned.
How old are your children? You are still quite young.
I would still consider barrier-free design, wider doors, and a stair lift.
What is the toilet in the garage for?
Your regular guest WC is easily accessible from the garden.
I would plan a storage room for the grill and such there.
The living room just seems big. Lots of dead space, which quickly feels cold.
I find the wall projection on the terrace rather confining. It divides the garden and gives off a bit of a townhouse vibe. The wall already has no windows in the living room.
I would give the bathroom a bathtub. Maybe someday you might want to enjoy medical baths.
Is the guest room sufficient if a child comes with partners and grandchildren someday?
The path to the bedroom is terribly long.
The bedroom is large, very large. With the partition, the architect probably already tried to create some coziness.
Do you have enough clothes to even half fill the closet space?
