For those who are used to getting by in a very sloppy way, that may hold true. But generally, like and , I prefer to belong to the group with the attitude "appreciation is (mostly) reciprocal."

I also don't believe that improves the work. But I think if the craftsmen feel comfortable, they will be happy to come back later.
A lot of things were botched here as well, but we don't call these companies anymore either. From the outset, I assume that as trained professionals, they will also do their job properly.

By the way, I also like going to customers where I know I will get a tip or at least a smile/a thank you. Customers who behave angrily or completely indifferently will surely not be treated as a priority^^.

As a student, I myself worked on construction sites as a laborer. In my crew, where conditions were good, we also worked with care. Where the builder was an arrogant city snob, we urinated in the concrete, among other things.

We gave a tip afterwards. To the electricians. They simply worked extremely perfectly. They were very grateful. Otherwise, there were drinks here and there. And always quick and uncomplicated payment. And: We also give the postwoman a gift from time to time. On Saturdays, she always throws lollipops into the mailbox for the children.

Yes, that's how it used to be 40 years ago. Today they send you, for example, Romanians on the construction site who have no talent, no motivation, and no expertise.

That what is called the "examination rate" in healthcare leaves much to be desired in structural engineering, I have often heard concerning large construction sites – but in single-family house construction, until now, only at the level of unskilled workers, whom Karsten so affectionately calls "Estrich-Achmeds." So in insulation, chiseling, chasing, drywall construction, and in the smooth finishing of the cladding joints.
