Every additional module brings more yield. The marginal utility may decrease and you also have jump-active costs due to inverter and string issues (kWp limits, having to take the next larger one. Separate strings if power difference is too large, etc.). But basically, more is better at first, yes. Especially because then you still get a decent yield even in bad times (where it would almost be good to also fill up the outer walls for that).

one of the few methods to make money is to produce and sell electricity cheaply yourself. With the module prices of (habe gerade für 110€ je 410 Wärmepumpe Modul für eine kleine Erweiterung gekauft) I would always fill the roof completely. Especially in autumn and winter, you’re happy that there is still enough left over so you don’t have to buy electricity from the grid operator.

P.S. Truly green electricity is a bit more expensive, by that I don’t mean electricity greenwashed by certificates. This one, for example from Green Planet Energy, currently costs 35.8 cents per kWh. But that is actually a bit of ideology, just like the installation of solar batteries. In my opinion, not everything has to be "just" financially viable. Those who think that way, for example, logically could also not be in church ;-)

please describe your roof and the planned layout in more detail. Then one can also recommend what is worthwhile and what is not.

As an example: 1kWp costs about €1000 extra and generates about 1000kWh per year, then the amortization at 8ct/kWh is reached after 12.5 years if you only feed in the electricity. If you use 20% of it yourself, then already after 8 years. But you can play with all the mentioned parameters or apply those for your own circumstances in order to get a correct result.

The IBC modules should have a 25-year warranty, if I have seen that correctly. And with photovoltaics you really do something for the environment, you generate emission-free electricity. Storage systems, on the other hand, only consume electricity and just ensure that more ends up with me instead of the neighbors, so initially no one is helped.

Hi RotorMotor

the layout is not yet fixed. Initially, it was only offered for Southeast and, upon my inquiry, was also offered for the west side. I would rearrange it anyway somewhat differently. It would be important for me how many modules I take and how many on which side.
Attached is a site plan and the layout proposals. North is at the top.
best regards

For us, it says 25 years product warranty, 30 years performance warranty - I must admit, I did not understand exactly what the difference is.

Product warranty covers defects that occur, for example, during manufacturing.
Performance warranty states that the performance must not fall below 80% of the nominal value within 30 years. I believe it is calculated as 0.7% of the nominal performance per year.
