How do I best find a freelance architect who charges a flat rate, especially in comparison, or what does he/she specialize in, e.g. rules, standards, etc. in the specific building area? I only know the portal a better. Based on research on YouTube, for example, or by "googling". I need help with this decision-making process.
Forget about the "service phase 1 to 3" providers as well as the "service phase 1 to 4" providers (see my posts with the forum search keyword "Gerddieter").
Please don't seriously want to "cast" an architect based on travel portal doctor reviews or similar. is satisfied with Mrs. Forster (also known from abP), I am less so. You don't need an architect specialized in quick "pleasing floor plan drawing," but one offering the full scope (service phases 1 to 8), whom you initially only commission for module A (and only after the dough has rested with switching also service phase 3 or more). You can find them very easily on the internet or even better in the industry phone book. Pick a small office, since it is about a single-family house. So no architectural firms with many partners. The less website presence, the better. The best for single-family houses are solo practitioners with a draftsman and a part-time secretary, and the "Yellow Pages regional" (meaning with the catchment area like the local directory) is exactly the right search radius. Do not focus on discount architects and/or flat rate billers. With the three-thousand-euro architects, you regularly end up with "pleasing floor plan drawers" from the "Gerddieter warns" category, with whom you are left alone exactly where, as a layperson, you are sailing on the high seas and most in need of support.
