The mistakes are really annoying and, in my opinion, not easily "swallowed." Especially small things like the underfloor heating distribution I wouldn't accept like that, then the interior wall just has to be rebuilt, that's how it is.

That the foreman actually wears the pants on the construction site, I can confirm with us, it's best to talk to him and get on his good side.

But no one is ever immune to mistakes, mistakes happen in every job, you just have to deal with them professionally, then it's fine.

Meanwhile, with the help of a GLB, it looks like this... it works if you want it to. What bothered me mainly was the reaction of the GU.

Wow, the pavement looks great, what kind is that?

I don't like the entrance with the round columns at all, they look so slender in comparison to the roof.

I didn’t have your problems, but instead 116 other ones because, apart from the earthworks, not a single trade delivered their part of the house without defects. Starting with flimsy excuses to delay the start of construction, continuing with non-compliance with the reinforcement plans for the foundation slab (which led to its demolition and reconstruction), too narrow lintel supports in the masonry, numerous one-sided changes including the refusal to provide corresponding proof of admissibility, and an ultra-aggressive contractor who, among other things, denied us the right of retention in writing. In short: I was once told that I could be pedantic, and the contractor challenged me. So I sat down, searched in libraries and on the internet for the recognized rules of technology, and forced the contractor to build the house according to these. Because of his behavior, I played the role of a housefly – always quietly landing on the tip of the nose when you’re already annoyed by the creature and think you’ve finally chased it away. Roughly estimated, his indifference to building the house properly cost about 75,000€ extra. It’s not a pleasant thing, because it led me to develop lasting distrust towards craftsmen.

The area in front of the garage is called "Rinn Padio Rasenplatte Granit" by Rinn Beton- und Naturstein. The columns don't look so thin in person... I'm not a professional at photographing.
