Energy savings certificate instead of energy performance certificate when renting

Hello,
for our semi-detached house, built in 2019, we received an energy saving certificate from the builder.
Now we want to rent out the semi-detached house starting next year, for which an energy performance certificate must be available.
To my knowledge, the energy saving certificate is much more informative. Is it allowed to present the energy saving certificate to potential tenants instead of the energy performance certificate?

I'm not really informed at the moment, but the energy saving certificate has not been current for 10-15 years?! It was abolished with the Energy Saving Ordinance 2009 and instead the energy performance certificate was introduced. Which by the way is also mandatory according to the new [Gebäudeenergiegesetz].

In this respect, the clear answer to your question is: No!

Presumably, the thermal insulation verification was meant here, which, when prepared according to DIN, must also meet the requirements of the energy certificate according to the Energy Saving Ordinance/Building Energy Act. That means, I do think that suffices (my thermal insulation verification nicely includes an energy certificate in the well-known format ...). As if a potential tenant would complain about that ...

I myself have only handed one out once in the last 10 years because I was asked. But that is another topic ;)

Our tenants were very satisfied with a consumption certificate, self-created using an online template. They could see directly what was used, with the information that 22-23 degrees room temperature was usual.

For an inexpensive energy performance certificate, the building is (still) too new. I believe three years/heating periods are taken into account.
