Building Energy Act calculation - is it necessary? And who does it?

The energy certificate is, to my knowledge, part of the building application. After all, the building authority needs to know what it is approving. And a new building nowadays is simply not approvable without an energy basis.

No, it is not. At least not where we are building ;-) we already got our building application approved. The building energy law proof was not required then...

No, it is not required. At least not where we are building ;-) we have already had our building application approved. The Building Energy Act proof was not required there...

and you didn’t need an energy calculation? You are building in Germany?

Me too sorry: not "schweis" of course... proof. But it can also be named differently in the building application. For me, it was already 9 years ago :D

Yes, in Bavaria. No, we did not submit it and it was not required, and the application has since been approved...

So we are doing the building energy law calculation now anyway (even though I’m not sure if anyone will ever want to see it). Through connections we know an energy consultant who does it for 500 €. Actually, he says it usually costs 800-1100 € with him.
