House construction according to the Building Energy Act still acceptable or better KFW55

May I ask everyone present what that means? It's the new GebäudeEnergieGesetz, right? What does still mean here? And I don't see any evaluation about whether the house is built to the minimum or a high standard? Sorry, but in my opinion, the question is asked as if it were about an old energy law, in this case for example Kfw85/70. However, I'm not 100% up to date on the topic anymore either. However, I can still answer the question somewhat: if you want to live in your house for 30+ years, choose the better arrangement. For only 15+ years because of your set age, I would avoid expensive technology.

Gebäudeenergiegesetz = Gebäudeenergiegesetz. For us, it was such that it coincided directly with the transition to the building permit. Because of §111 Gebäudeenergiegesetz, I then wrote a letter to the building authority that our house should be calculated according to the new standard (including the incorporation of photovoltaic). Upon request, one could demand the use of the new version, but my letter was never answered; at the building authority people were not aware of this topic at all. Various energy consultancies also did not know about it; their software was allegedly not yet updated. In this case here, however, I think the OP is confusing something.

I think so too. However, I am irritated by the responses in that they lack information regarding the energy value.

I interpreted the question as whether, given the obviously recognizable trend towards KfW55 as the next stage of the legal standard that will not take forever to arrive, we would still build according to the "soon old," basically only renamed to Gebäudeenergiegesetz, standard Energieeinsparverordnung 2016.

If you can afford it financially, 40, 40plus or 55 would certainly be better, also with regard to the resale value. However, we ourselves build only according to the Energy Saving Ordinance for various reasons.

If you are building soon, then the current rules apply. That in the medium term only EH55 will be approved is irrelevant for you at first. Renovation of existing buildings should also not have to go beyond EH70, although I find that quite excessive for many houses. What regulations you will have in 30 years when the first major renovations come... no one can tell you that at all. In general, I would assume that there will be no further tightening because we are reaching the limits of what is reasonably feasible... but that assumes sensible politicians instead of clueless ideologists... I would also look at how the higher standard is achieved. For example, ETICS would personally be a no-go for me, but it has its supporters and also allows for retrofitting to a higher energy standard by removing the old insulation in x decades and attaching thicker or better insulation. You probably won't get any more subsidies for retrofitting. The magic word is solar obligation for new buildings or roof renovations. Either you put it on now or you leave it for the long term.
