But then I would consider good fresh air supply, otherwise you draw smoke from the coal stove. With my wood stove, I cannot turn on the extractor hood next to it without pulling out smoke, even with the window tilted.
Another thing to consider is what temperatures the adjacent materials can withstand. I have an approximately 10 cm spacer between the wood stove and the kitchen. There should also be no wall cabinet above the stove. Unlike an electric stove, such an oven radiates heat upward over the entire surface. In our old kitchen, they tried three times to re-glue the veneer on the adjacent wall cabinet before they screwed on an aluminum strip.
