I don’t see my own pictures in my post either. I just wanted to try again but ypg was faster.

My brown monster also has a heating system through which I heat the tiled stove in the living room.

I think with the 80cm distance you are already doing pretty well. But I would still get written approval from the kitchen builder. You will also have a stove fitter who connects the unit with the tiled stove. They also have good experience.

Hm. Kitchen builder? Nope. I planned the kitchen myself, original Ikea ^^ (and now you can throw your hands over your head: the kitchen has been standing in parts obediently in the basement for a year now, waiting for us to finish the room...)

Do we need an oven installer? I thought we just set it up normally and then have it inspected by the chimney sweep. Otherwise, we have to look to see if there are any around here who still take orders But we still have a bit of time. The targeted installation date is in spring.

OK, then the issue with the kitchen is settled. If it's already there, then there's no more questioning. Why should anyone throw their hands over their head because of that?

I only thought of the stove builder because I thought the connection on the tiled stove needed to be changed. Is the through-heating on the stove exactly where it fits the tiled stove?

One advantage of heating the tiled stove with a cooking stove is that you don't have to worry about the emission values! Cooking stoves are exempt from this regulation.

The kitchen can still be changed a bit; the countertop will only be ordered once everything is in place anyway. And moving the cabinets around on the plan is still easy at the moment.

Yes, the tiled stove is exactly where the pass-through heating comes out of the wall. That means we'll probably have to make a core drill hole there, but the position is correct.

The regulation that cooking stoves are exempt from emission values is new to me – but I'm especially happy about it. I already felt sorry that the beautiful tiled stove in the dining room has to lead such a lonely life as a decorative object.

How effective is the pass-through heating actually? Does all the heat go away or does some residual heat remain at the cooking stove/in the kitchen?

The regulation regarding the emissions values was communicated to me by the local chimney sweep.

However, I would still have it checked whether the cooking stove fits in terms of performance with the tiled stove, if this has not been done yet. What's the use if the cooking stove is powered by a glowing plate and the tiled stove still doesn't get warm. Air supply and smoke extraction are also topics like this. I would clarify these in advance with my professional.

Regarding the last point. I first had to treat the valve in the radiator in the kitchen with some force because it was stuck. That says a lot about how often it is used. There is also enough warmth left in the kitchen. One must consider that the heat emission between the cooking stove and the tiled stove is different. Cooking stoves are designed to quickly transfer heat to the plate, but when the fire is out, the room also cools quickly because little is stored. With tiled stoves it is usually the other way around. They are "charged" with heat at the beginning and release it over hours.

Great, thanks for your reply! Yes, the chimney sweep has to come by anyway because of the heating conversion; he can also take a look at it then. The tiled stove in the hallway has always been an eyesore for him so far because, as mentioned, it is no longer allowed to be operated, but it still could be operated. It has always been inspected very thoroughly...

Sure, cooking requires quick heat, that makes sense to me now So far, I only know the wood stove in the living room, and that already takes its time – but then the heat radiation starts in a big way.
