I would be interested to know how you have arranged the TV in the living room? Is it hanging on the wall, as shown in the plan? Is that practical?

He was standing there temporarily against the wall - it was good. Now we have banished him to the "Sportzimmer" and fixed him to the wall there. In the living room, there is now a keyboard.. in the long term, a lowboard is supposed to go there (E-Piano then on another wall).

We really like your floor plan and we're kind of "copying good ideas". I think the staircase is very nice, but it has to be properly positioned.

One question about that: How is it with dirt in the hallway? You don't have an entrance area or anything like that for shoes and such. We actually think we need an entrance area, otherwise the kids will track dirt all through the house. On the other hand, the staircase doesn't quite work in that form then....

The children already take off their shoes at the coat rack in the front - but it gets dirty there accordingly (depending on the mud conditions) - but you have that in the vestibule too, I think. So really bringing dirt inside does not happen, and since you only have to go through the entrance area when you want to go out (except for the WC), it is completely unproblematic.

Unfortunately, unfortunately, this does not help against muddy feet and children who prefer to use the wall instead of the railing.

Yes, that's true, but I just can't look at the dirt in winter and the 80 pairs of shoes that the kids scatter all over the place when I go to the office, bathroom, or bed. So, I'm generally in favor of [Windfang]..... but the staircase does have something going for it. Hmm, difficult.

Both can be charming; it strongly depends on the concept - our wardrobe is open, we like it, others find it too wild: With us it works without a windbreak, since the entrance does not face the street - I think then it would be too open for me as well.
