No, why? Explain what exactly is so "ultra special case" about that.

Sometimes you really talk nonsense – what do you actually think people at work think about you? For you, it’s like everyone only wants the best from you (that is, your money) and you assume that everyone only has bad intentions.

And craftsmen are probably second-class people anyway because they are brainless...

Strangely, we only had people with brains at the construction site – neighbors too. Architect-designed house, general contractor, main contractor – all involved...

our craftsmen also think that we don't think along. that's just how it is. in the end, everyone makes mistakes, only some (e.g., the metal industry) do everything to satisfy the customer, while in construction there are constantly stupid excuses being made and/or the customer is lied to. and why? because you don't become a customer again and customer satisfaction is taken lightly. but they still want full payment...

tiled shower floors are a bit tricky in terms of watertightness. it's no coincidence that they are the most common cause of flooding in relatively new buildings.

Oh, I don’t know that statistic at all – and immediately floods ;). Actually, it’s not a problem if you just seal according to the specifications – I went through that three times with the tilers here and was allowed to look at it very closely and have it explained to me.

Then a roof would also be ultra sensitive, as well as the masonry waterproofing... generally speaking, by the way, a shower waterproofing. Even with a prefabricated element, everything has to be sealed.

And regarding the first paragraph: You probably have a fixed opinion there, which is riddled with prejudices. It’s a pity, but don’t keep spreading it again and again – and portraying the construction industry per se as bad. It rather gives the impression that YOU had a cheapo...

According to that opinion, everyone would be dissatisfied...

I agree with here. We had plenty of craftsmen who thought along during the construction. And often enough, nothing was sold in the process.

Your accusations either suggest that you always chose the cheapest providers, did not specify your orders precisely, or simply made the wrong choice.

There are plenty of high-quality craftsmen. But they do cost money. For that money, however, you get quality. That is why we were also willing during the construction phase to spend more money than the cheapest provider would have cost. In return, we received quality and were very satisfied with most of the craftsmen.

Ahem .... I know quite a few stories about fall protection. You might want to not bite off more than you can chew. Where people work, mistakes happen; to claim that a certain professional group never makes mistakes, I find rather naive.

I am just wondering if you would write that under your real name .....

And that’s all that went wrong? Given how much you’re boasting in this post, I would have expected you to be living in a half-finished wreck.

Nope.

Nope.

Rhenish regards

Sorry for only getting back now. It's because of our internet provider :(

It was about expansion joints....

We will "move in" to the house tomorrow. I won't have time to write anything here after that.

Move-in delayed by over a month.

Many things are simply slapped together and half-finished. (Bathroom without silicone joints)

There is (as of now) no water/toilet. (the pump station has no power connection...)

Nothing is labeled in the house connection box indicating which RCD switch is for which room/socket/switch.

This is an electrician who belongs to the Chamber of Crafts.

The outdoor sockets were "forgotten" - we ordered and paid for a double socket.

There is already insulation and plaster on it.

If my wife & I "could" - we would undo the contract signing with this company!

The deadline for completion from the lawyer is until Monday (8/29)

Through this forum, I also got in touch with another buyer (same construction company), also heard nothing good. Very slow construction progress and apparently "zero" construction experience....

Best regards & goodbye
