Do you park your bicycles in the carport?

Presumably, there will be a carport with an adjoining storage shed at some point. As a temporary solution, I also thought of something cheaper like a metal shed for 200-300 EUR. Ideally, of course, if it were available used. I also found the idea of old shipping containers – 20 or 40 feet – in the garden and then converting them exciting. However, not yet as a temporary solution, as it’s too expensive.

Here in the residential area, there were two who had placed a container, apparently rented. We didn’t build a hut, also because it was prohibited by the building authority, but indeed a dry shelter was often missing. I had also once considered putting up a party tent for €100 as a temporary measure, but now the carport is coming.

We have placed our bikes behind the carport in the storage room. It was built at the same time as the carport. It is 3 x 3.5 meters in size and sufficient.

When I moved in, I actually used my garage for building materials, tools, and bicycles. The grill and drinks were also inside. But then it gets full really quickly. Next year, a covered space for trash bins will be built, a bicycle shed in the driveway area about 3x4m plus overhang, a small garden shed 3.5x4.5, and in the other corner, there will be a sauna and the wood storage. Then there will be significantly less mowing left in a "large" garden :P

How do you do it? Does each of you have a garage or a carport?
A shed? Or maybe even a separate bicycle garage?

Previously a garage, currently a carport, mounted on the motorhome, or in the utility room. In the future, the bikes will have a place in the yet-to-be-built separate house in the carport. At our place of residence, weather protection is important, theft protection less so.
