Do you have experience with the Cisco SG250X-24P-K9-EU switch?

So, the last few days have been quite tight. Therefore, I am only replying now.

Thank you all very much. Especially the last posts were very helpful.
I will now consider whether I dare to tackle the Cisco. The ES-24-250 from Ubiquiti also seems very interesting.

At this point, I would be interested to know what you see as the advantage of the Unifi interface?
When I think about my work, we have Dell, HP, VMware etc. and therefore use various interfaces again and again. Console, clicky...

Ideally, the things run and are not touched anymore. Except for firmware, if you will, or because something is really changed.
For me, I cannot yet fully understand the advantage of the unified interface.

With Unifi you also have centralized monitoring of your network. Besides the interface, the "programming" is quite simple. From router to APs... That was the reason why I use it. But I already had a few small systems in operation. It's just convenient. Or take the Edge series. Then you don't have the APs in the same controller. Price/performance Unifi is great. You can also intervene more deeply via json. That has not been necessary for me so far. I quickly ruled out HP and Cisco due to price and complexity.

You can get the Cisco refurbished for 350. I have seen it new for 580€. The Edge costs about 400€, as does Unifi. I am really unsure about this. Ideally, I would just get one and see if it works with Magenta TV here in the apartment, and if not, send it back. But actually, I find people who do that really mean. So I guess my only option is: buy, hope, and otherwise tinker.

So far I have read that there apparently should also be a difference between Entertain TV and Magenta TV. The former uses IGMPv2, the latter v3. And also pay attention to the router/firewall. There were some in the discussions who in the end connected the FritzBox. Apparently everything is currently still in transition to IGMPv3. The Unifi switches supposedly could not do it either, only those from the Edge series. But as I said - it's best to directly inquire in the "Hersteller Forum".

Why definitely magenta and not Zattoo? Then you don't need a box for every TV, etc. You have to live with the system. If you trust yourself with Cisco, then get that. I prefer centralized management. There is enough going on during the construction and move-in phase. Struggling with the technology on top of that is no fun. I also like the backup function with Unifi. If something fails, just replace it and load the configuration.

Why magenta tv is quite simple. We have had it for about 10 years now. It is super comfortable. Everything from a single source. Streaming apps, tv, everything in one. Opinions differ here, but we have exclusively good experiences with the TK.
