The Grünbeck is DVGW-certified and "Made in Bavaria." The Alfiltra is some generic Far East product (identical to Aqmos, Water2buy, Filtrasoft, Aquintos...) without DVGW certification, probably without resin bed disinfection. And without factory customer service. Of course, you can connect something like that to your drinking water supply, it's nice and cheap. I wouldn't do it.

What do you think about the salt tablet consumption? Our Grünbeck needs about 25kg of salt per year with a softening from 16 to 5dH. There are 2.5 people in the household.
Friends (in the same town) of ours have a blue BWT, they need 25kg every 2 months…

Our Grünbeck SD21 is designed for 4 people and reduces 19 dH to 6 dH. In the summer months, when we use 20 m³ or more, about 15 KG of salt is consumed, so not a whole bag. However, this is due to irrigation and does not necessarily apply to everyone equally. In all other months, consumption is between 2 and 3 KG! From June 2022 until today, we have used 59 kg = 3 bags at about 20€ each, which in my opinion is completely fine. The system cost a total of 2000 € in 2021 - installation cost another 200 €.

That is why it let the outdoor taps be installed as a branch before the softening. Although we are already at the dead end in less than a year, that has other reasons... My wife has millions of houseplants and is not always in the mood to go outside. I have not yet installed the tap in the kitchen with untreated water...

Unfortunately, the installer forgot to do that for us. We wanted both softened and non-softened water in the kitchen. Now we only have a branch without softening. Very annoying...

Yes, so you can ease your anger. As I said, we have one and don't use it. We don't miss it either. In the house for nine months...
