Better than the first draft. I would only put the living room in the south, the kitchen in the north. There is also space upstairs for a storage room, hallway west. The hallway downstairs is now less narrow. So, what more could you want. Karsten

why does everyone always want the room where you need the most light to be in the north? who needs daylight when watching TV? that is rather inconvenient (reflections on the TV). where I need light is at the dining table (board games, homework, chatting together, family celebrations) and in the kitchen for working.... or with the super size of the kitchen with seating also for doing homework, chatting together and eating, family celebrations and much more.

for many, life takes place at the dining table and in the kitchen, very few can laze around on the sofa all day ;)

Because it makes sense here. The northern area hardly has any windows anyway, so there is plenty of space for the upper cabinets. The garage next door, with a door into the kitchen, where the dirty shoes, boxes with drinks, and such are kept; provisions are stored there. This is a working kitchen, seating is in the middle, relaxing in the south. That's how I see it here, not in general, but here for sure.

The dirty shoes are supposed to go into the kitchen?

Stop thinking that a kitchen is still best kept dark because cooking is work. Long ago, the kitchen was in the basement..,
Nowadays cooking is about pleasure and life - a place for communication and experimentation. In a lively atmosphere, life and upbringing are discussed.
If the OP thinks the same as you, it can certainly be exchanged, but here are suggestions from users who like to spend time in the kitchen and want to switch to the further living space, the terrace with drinks and grilling equipment.
Although the TV is the center of life for many, it should be reconsidered during the day (daylight) ;)

Unfortunately, the role of the kitchen has not yet been addressed by the OP.

Brief regards

No, the dirty shoes of course stay in the garage.... otherwise it's just a suggestion.
