The installation temperature must be 5 degrees, correct - but that is why I insulate the device with 5 cm, and then it will certainly never be below that inside the insulation - the condensate line is also within the insulation. By the way, the gables are insulated with 14 cm.

:

I will see how it works with the humidity - I will install a corresponding sensor up there. The attic is not plastered and the roof is not 100% airtight - according to technical rules, however, the attic should be ventilated. So far, it is neither damp nor below zero degrees there...

I had once considered ventilating the attic through the controlled residential ventilation, but with that you might get two problems:

[*]In winter, you draw in very cold air - although in total amount it is a small quantity, the exhaust air will cool down.
[*]You let warm air into the attic - this can condense on the cold outer parts and the diffusion capability of the wood fiberboards may then no longer be sufficient.

Difficult topic, but solvable...

Hello everyone, we are currently facing the same problem. Controlled residential ventilation is located in the basement in the building services room. The top ceiling, including the collar beam layer, which receives intermediate insulation (h=22cm). Below that comes the vapor barrier and then the substructure for the plasterboard panels. My idea now is to make the substructure strong enough so that it is sufficient for the controlled residential ventilation pipes. I would then insulate the installation level as well. Do you have any concerns about mold since the vapor barrier comes after the installation level?

No, the approach with the installation level is normal, but how much height do you want to lose? That's about 10cm you have to compensate for - plus drywall.

Additionally, you might possibly get problems with mold - with that much insulation? You would have to calculate...

I also have the controlled residential ventilation in the attic, ventilating all rooms through ceiling outlets, no problems so far. The attic is insulated between the rafters and has therefore always easily exceeded +5 until now. And I ventilate it (with a very low setting) as well. This provides a small regulated air exchange, but so far no problems with moisture or the like.

Is your topcoat in the airtight plane? Plastered?

No, but a half-hipped roof, so no wall on the sides. Otherwise, the insulation is also provided with a vapor barrier following the motto from outside to inside always tighter, and quite carefully glued. Downwards towards the [Og] there is insulation again / above the [Og] vapor barrier.
