Hello everyone,
I want to glue cover plates on our walls (see pictures) and make the wall itself look nicer.
The normal cover plates in gray/anthracite are easy to work with but not so nice visually. Does anyone have a nice idea as an alternative?
I would like to plaster and paint the wall itself. Does anyone have experience with that? Or other options as an alternative?
Thanks and best regards
Stefan

I can think of a nice (Rhombus) cladding as a possible option. Plastering is of course also possible, but you have to seal the part in contact with the ground well. Or Corten steel could be placed in front. Or Trespa (or comparable products). The last option that spontaneously comes to mind is a "brick facing" with slips.

What is supposed to happen with the fence in [Bild 1]?

You can generally implement wall coverings from stone (whether natural, concrete, gravel, etc.), metal (zinc sheet/aluminum in all kinds of colors), or wood.

A wooden solution would also be visually much more pleasant for me. Simply screw battens across, for example, and then attach battens or different widths of rough boards vertically as well. Easy to implement, inexpensive, and stylish at the same time. Afterwards, you can also attach flower containers to the wooden construction or design the whole thing freely. If needed, a board can easily be replaced. We have implemented it this way directly on the house and also in the garden. Similarly, I could at least imagine steel mesh or a scaffold made of metal/wire on the high wall, with which you then let this large wall become overgrown with ivy or similar. I would then also visually integrate the fence in a similar way. In my opinion, the planned cladding options quickly look shabby over time or need to be cleaned regularly. At the bottom of the high wall, you could, for example, place wide, similarly clad plant containers and plant them. Or you build terraced in front of this high wall, for example two sections in front, which could easily be implemented with strong wooden beams or similar.

"Wood belongs in the stove," said my colleague. And plastering or gluing wouldn't hold anyway because of the moisture. He also recommends Trespa or Fundermax. However, I find that too expensive. The sides of the staircase are also supposed to be clad. The easiest for me would be to work with wood. However, I find it visually less appealing after a while. Plaster could also peel off. It's enough to drive you crazy. The fence in the entrance area is to remain!

That is professional nonsense. Only your heirs will have a problem with it if done correctly.

Personally, I would also prefer plastering. But I have a little bit of concern. What is the most important thing to consider?
