If it is ensured that the wall does not permanently draw moisture from the back, I would apply a layer with a plastic-reinforced filler, e.g., "gima xxl," and texture it with a five-tooth trowel. Then apply base plaster with mesh over it. The whole thing is then painted with suitable facade paint. You can then connect it directly to the house. It looks as if it would be necessary, but if the wall draws moisture from behind, it will chip off sooner or later. Then only battens and cladding help to ensure ventilation behind.

The first thing that comes to mind is [Buntsteinputz], available in various colors and is DIY ready to use straight from the bucket, also as a base coat it is resistant to moisture and withstands frost and blazing sun

You see, you are surrounded by experts. Ultimately, it is entirely up to you what you draw inspiration from. Depending on your craftsmanship skills, it can be a fiddly task to neatly finish the cladding on steps or transitions, as well as where it contacts the ground or in the area of the fence base. I would be interested in a picture after completion, as well as the practical idea of your expert on how exactly he would implement these areas cleanly and attractively.

I have a similar project for a small base of a 20m wall. Colored stone sounds like a good tip! Thanks :)

Maybe it doesn't fit your style, but some graffiti looks spectacularly good.

I throw fiber cement boards into the mix - can be made to look like wood, are durable and low-maintenance...
