This is how it works without a general contractor, as it does with us. The addition usually takes place (according to hearsay) without a general contractor binding, mostly still on the construction site.

And what exactly does this have to do with cash payment? I don't understand. As soon as a proper invoice is involved, all the craftsmen I know couldn't care less whether they receive a wad of cash or a bank transfer. They actually prefer the transfer even more... And of course EL saves money. But you don't pay that at all, neither in cash nor in any other way.

It has nothing to do with cash. For payment by invoice, the general contractor surcharge is simply missing. However, I would not rely on whether every general contractor will accept that and to what extent. Savings potential minimal

If a general contractor is involved, it will probably be difficult. But as I said, if there is no general contractor, the better option is to get a standard offer and rally on site. Everyone has to decide for themselves regarding the issue of cash payment.

I once received an option in another trade. €5k in cash for €1k savings. Of course, I didn’t accept. Just saying regarding the savings potential. You have to have the €5k first.

With DIY effort, you can save a lot on electrical work if you know what you are doing. For a normal electrical installation with comfort features (according to DIN 18015), we paid about 7k€ (including tools and the costs for the electrician’s inspection, LAN in every room, several SAT connections, etc.). Raffstores including smart home control, and a bit of Hue distributed around the house, would cost about 4k€ more. Loxone I also found very interesting, but according to my comparison calculation back then, it would have cost at least 10-15k€ more. It wasn’t worth it for me.

People, but he did not ask about tax evasion or own work. Everyone knows that it saves money. Depending on the region, the offers will probably vary greatly. But my buddy is an electrician, so I know the prices well. It won't be less than 15 grand. As always, it will probably be more.
