Hello,

in case you want to bring your house connections into the house in the form of a multi-utility connection through the basement wall or the floor slab, I can only strongly recommend that you clarify your basement construction method in advance with the electricity network operator (probably also Netze-BW).

Unfortunately, we had very unpleasant and time-consuming experiences with this company (more precisely with a very specific employee).

In short, there were massive difficulties getting the multi-utility connection installed by the network operator and having the warranty assumed.

Regards,

Dirk

Thank you for the tip!
Unfortunately, I still don’t know what kind of basement I should ask for from my home builder.

Something like this: [Abdichtung nach DIN18195 gemäß Lastfall nach Bodengutachten]
??

Good day,

In my opinion, your consultant is overmotivated if he recommends a "white tank" without any soil report :-(

The offer from your general contractor includes the simplest variant of building waterproofing. At the present time, completely sufficient.

Consider including an appropriate amount in your incidental construction costs - depending on the house's base area for additional foundation costs and you will be on the safe side.

He has already built in the adjacent new development area and it is known that "weißer Wanne" construction is used here. However, he did not recommend a "weiße Wanne" to me, but speaks of a "WU-Keller".

Apparently, there is no way to say in advance exactly how the wording for a watertight basement in weiße Wanne execution must be. Does that mean in reverse that I have to wait for the planned execution of the construction company first (by then the contract is probably already signed) and only then find out through a paid expert whether the offered basement execution was fair or will lead to additional costs?
Can that be the right way? After all, it is also about agreeing on the price and the service to be provided before signing the contract.

Have an additional basement option included in your offer, namely one that is used in case of high groundwater. This is also done with other upgrades: have prices for potential items named in writing in the offer. The decision for one option or the other will be determined by the geotechnical report.

@ Aloadihoa

I know quite a few GCs who - purely as a precaution and exploiting "layman’s knowledge" - offer a "White Tank". Not always necessary; also means expensive money wasted.

WU means nothing else than waterproof; this is also reflected in the offer - stating cellar according to DIN 18195-4 - which means the same.

No one CAN seriously offer you a White Tank in advance. Its execution actually depends on the existing soil; seepage water, layer waters, high groundwater level, etc. That means there are countless variants to execute a "White Tank". So which one should be offered to you?

You can also have a soil report prepared at your own expense before you sign a contract for work.
