Controlled residential ventilation with heat recovery instead of solar thermal energy?

Someone wanted to sell you an expensive controlled residential ventilation system, right? It would be new to me that a controlled residential ventilation system is mandatory for the Energy Saving Ordinance.

I think she means they had to take solar thermal in addition to controlled residential ventilation with natural gas.

Exactly, but we are very happy with the controlled residential ventilation. I wouldn't have thought that 1. the system is so quiet and 2. the air so fresh without it getting cold. Really wonderful when there is fresh air in the bedroom in the morning without having to ventilate for hours.

Yes, exactly for this reason I definitely want it too, I will probably be doing night shifts for another 30 years, in the mornings with closed windows + external blinds, oxygen levels drop massively after 3-4 hours.. I’m already looking forward to better nights than in the rental apartment.

For what reason couldn’t you leave out the solar? Did you try? Didn’t the calculation work out?
