Yes, the air then doesn't have 22° but 20°, calling that cold is IMHO exaggerated. Additionally, you don't install a high-speed system (as is common in high-rise buildings), but the air exits at about 1m/s in normal operation.

Well, as I said. You have to decide. The best is simply to go to someone who has a controlled residential ventilation system and take a look and let it affect you.

It is, but if you sit right in the draft, it is definitely noticeable. Not really unpleasant but definitely noticeable. At neighbors, the supply air is exactly above the sofa, at least she doesn’t like to sit there.

Well, I think that strongly depends on how effective the heat recovery is, and that strongly depends on the ambient temperature where my system is located. Am I seeing that correctly, or not??

Well, the system is located up in the attic, which is not particularly insulated under the tiles. Do I need to insulate well around the system, maybe include the chimney in the insulation envelope where the airflow passes by, to create a bit of preheating there?

Regards
Almo

You must insulate at least enough to shift the dew point so far that condensation does not occur on or inside the pipes at the coldest local temperatures. Otherwise, structural damage threatens. Such a case has already occurred here in the forum.

Ok, condensate is dripping from the ventilation system into the wastewater pipe. Do you mean the condensate is spreading through all the supply air ducts in the house?

If there is too little insulation, the condensate runs into the house.
