That means if the pipe were now open in the storage room, would that be a caused structural defect? Or could it lead to that? Oh, I will take a look upstairs tonight and then report. Although I have to add that I will continue to have a cold roof and will only insulate the top floor ceiling.

The warm indoor air flows through the cold pipe. However, it should also be insulated.

So now I checked again. The removed roof tiles with outlets were apparently just ventilation tiles for the attic. The pipes still come out of the roof. Regarding the insulation of the pipes. That means I would still have to insulate the pipes with material here? What material should I use? How big should the gap between insulation boards and chimney, wooden studs, pipes be at least? I am not allowed to compress the glass wool, right? 10 cm around? And can I lay old parquet (real wood) on the insulation boards as a walkable surface? Only on the areas where I want to walk. Or can this even be omitted with these insulation boards? They somehow give a very hard impression. I would like to store boxes and move around "crawling" on all fours on them. So purely storage space. thx

You can wrap it like a heating pipe. It's only about making sure that the pipe is not so cold.

Just wrap a layer around the pipe and that's it. Possibly secure it with wire. Right, do not compress. You can basically throw anything you want on top. So also parquet. Important are few cross joints and that the insulation is not "under-ventilated".

One layer of what? Pipe insulation from the hardware store?

Insulation not being ventilated underneath means that I have to ensure that the insulation boards always lie fully on the concrete floor, right? So with cables or other empty conduits running on the floor, I have to cut a V-notch at the bottom?

thx
