Control climate with underfloor heating or via the ventilation system?

At least this way the thermal bridge is less severe because the path is longer. There are very small [Sparsiphone] that would definitely fit under there. Instead of a plug/[Siphon] one could also put a valve or something, I don't know, that lets water but no air through (there is such a thing). I might consider the plug, I also regularly change filters for the controlled residential ventilation system myself.

I thought about getting an air conditioner this summer when even the nights no longer brought any cooling. You learn during construction how to keep the heat inside the house. Unfortunately, that doesn't help at all in summer. However, I am really bothered by these outdoor units. From what I have seen, either a hose through the window or a hole in the wall. I find both rather sh... uh, a pity.

Is there none without an outdoor unit? I mean, from a quick browse, I think I saw simple devices around 700 euros. Yes, and these looked quite nice, about 80 cm wide and 20 cm high... It's just about light cooling for a few days in a modest bedroom. 2000 and a device on the exterior facade is out of the question for me.

Sure, monoblock - you can get that junk at any hardware store. They make a lot of noise, the hose has to go out the window, and they never deliver the stated performance anyway. They are already available for 200 euros - you can try it out to see if it’s something for you. Otherwise, return it... Far from a well-functioning air conditioner... but they do help with high temperatures.

Yes, I just checked again: they are monoblocks, with hose, decent decibels, and power guzzlers.
Maybe our old fan heater, which isn’t really that old but comes from our old house, can cool a bit. For an hour before falling asleep and with a timer for a few hours during the night for the short summer heatwave, it would be an alternative. But I will only try that if there is a need.

Phew, saved money mentally again

I haven't read everything. This summer, we cooled our underfloor heating with our heat pump. Of course, you must not set it so low that condensation forms on the floor. On average, we had 3-4 degrees less inside the house than the entire neighborhood. The downside is that you have to turn it on in time and not only when it is already very warm inside. We also only had it on when the outside temperature was at least 30 degrees for several days. We would do it the same way again.
