I find an air conditioner very pleasant for cooling down but rather annoying in terms of noise. When on vacation in warmer regions, I never have more than 17 degrees in the bedroom. My husband usually gets frostbite.

However, an air conditioner was not important to us when building the house.

The highest temperature we measured last summer upstairs was 24 degrees on the hottest days.

We slept with the window open. During the day, the blinds on the sun-exposed side were always down. At 6 a.m. and late in the evening, we aired the rooms extensively.

But: The technology is developing further and [Vorlauftemperatur]. In the next few years, a device will also be found for us.

You don’t hear a branded split air conditioner – ours has 19 or 21 dB (I don’t have the exact value in mind right now).

If it's from the market leader, it goes down to 19 dB(A). I am also a bit surprised about the statements that air conditioners are loud and ugly; a lot has changed in recent years. Rhineland greetings

I didn’t want to have too many devices on the house wall either. It will probably be a powerful device that is installed centrally, with its outdoor unit placed on the north wall above the garage. It should be located in the gallery area, where the air can be distributed directly on the ground floor and upper floor. Cost around 3000 to 4000 euros; which is worth it to me.

You want to cool the whole house with one device? You can really save your money... You only need one outdoor unit for up to 5 indoor units.

I will find out more precisely this week. At least this was the suggestion from the renowned air conditioning technician.
