Control climate with underfloor heating or via the ventilation system?

So I don't want to miss my air conditioning in summer... those few days can get really annoying... because once the heat is inside you can't get it out that easily, since the house is built to keep the heat inside...

We don't use it for heating though...

Have you installed a central unit?

What does a central unit cost and how is it constructed, meaning the lines? Do they work with the [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung]?

The price depends heavily on your wishes... you can buy a central unit for a few thousand or even a few tens of thousands depending on what is desired...

The cheaper devices usually just cool with a lot of energy consumption... the more expensive ones can be adapted in many ways to the user/house and are more economical.

It is built almost like a controlled residential ventilation system but with larger ducts since larger volumes of air have to be moved.

It cannot be done via controlled residential ventilation because it is not designed for the amounts of condensate and air volumes that occur with active cooling.

No, I only have a split unit too because I was foolish enough to think during construction: "oh, the house won't get warm in summer, there's enough insulation everywhere."

Now, after the first summer where I could hardly or not sleep at all during the few weeks of heat, a split unit came into the bedroom.

Well, I deliberately opted for split units - a central unit would be too expensive for me and not worth the effort. Besides, you have one more maintenance area there... I have already paid attention to the summer heat protection under the roof (above-rafter insulation with wood fiberboards and mineral wool), but I fear that it won't help in the long run.

No... after a certain duration of exposure you get a sauna... no matter what you have installed there... and as I said, once the heat is in there... it stays in there even more because of the measures...

I think I will eventually install a ceiling unit with us...
