I wish you and your family all the best and much strength in the coming time, and especially to you, unknown to me, a manageable diagnosis and a swift and complete recovery!

We have secured ourselves with BU, credit default insurance, and term life insurance; moreover, our repayment is so low that only one of us can bear it alone. How sustainable and manageable our model is in case of doubt, I cannot assess. Shortly after completing our financing, my husband was also once suspected of having a serious cancer. My children were still very small at that time. Therefore, I can somewhat fathom how you are feeling now. Take every help that is offered to you, especially in terms of human and time support. Again, all the best to all of you!

As far as I know, a collective agreement obligation cannot only arise from membership in an employers' association but also from a commitment, as demanded by public authorities in the context of tenders or grant awards.

Sure, it’s more like a loan and hardly an insurance product anymore. When the probability of damage approaches 100%, that’s not surprising. Like supplementary dental insurance that can be taken out after the diagnosis (there’s some TV commercial about that…). It’s simply a loan.

Correct, sickness benefit is subject to the progression proviso. So indirectly somehow taxed. I will now simply take an absolute fake example. It's only about understanding the progression proviso. Income 10,000 euros Sickness benefit 5,000 Tax rate at 10,000 euros 10% = 1,000 euros Tax rate at 15,000 euros 15% = 2,250 euros However, the sickness benefit itself is tax-free and subject to the progression proviso So taxable income 10,000 Tax rate 15% = 1,500 euros tax
