Interesting! So initially we received a cost estimate based on approximate measurements, and during the detailed planning phase a cost calculation according to DIN 276 with a listing of individual trades (14 DIN A4 pages) and a calculated 5% regional factor BkI surcharge for an assumed price increase. This was then 2% above the estimate.
I assumed that this is common - if not even mandatory -....
But of course we are now very curious to what extent this differs from the offers.
Also our construction, architect with individual contract award, all service phases, has become significantly more expensive than the architect's initial estimate. This was partly due to the fact that, as others have already pointed out, we changed things during the construction or wanted to add things. So for us, a mix of somewhat underestimated and our own fault. ;)

So you only have the estimate according to DIN and no offers yet? What are your expectations? Just out of interest? Because whether I roughly estimate a number based on volume or allocate the costs proportionally according to DIN, it’s six of one, half a dozen of the other. Especially at the moment. Even if you have offers, the price can deviate upwards from the offer by up to 10% after invoicing. You can only hope that one or another invoice comes out cheaper to offset the higher invoice. I built myself with individual contracts :)
