In the current situation, of course, I expect nothing. I hope that we can even build at all, that our buffer is sufficient, and that we might have a slight locational advantage due to the very rural character of the region. However, the costs were not only divided by percentage but were calculated by the architect based on our floor plans, the number of doors, the exact window measurements, KFW target, floor areas, etc. Naturally, this was calculated without the raw material/Corona surcharge. Why can the invoices deviate by 10% from the offer? In the case of understandable reasons/planning errors in individual cases, that is clear. But fundamentally?

I’m telling you, it makes no difference. Yes, actually almost basically now more than ever before. Because it’s simply the case that several months pass between the offer and execution/invoicing, during which suppliers/raw material dealers raise prices. That is simply passed on 1:1 despite the offer. I had that, for example, with the windows, construction steel, or the roof, and that was 2.5 years ago without Corona.

Fundamentally, they may not decline, but market excesses will not be sustainable in the long run. However, none of us has a crystal ball.

Did the great socialist climate chamber decree that? :) Or have we somehow still left some market economy intact? I stick to it, the pig cycle is alive. Not even the blockchain changes that. And strangely enough, even there it still holds - what goes up, must come down.

The problem is that when prices stabilize, they don't really go down much.
