Construction costs for a single-family house 190m² + basement including a granny flat

Having the entrance to the basement there (that's also where the driveway is) sounds unusual to us. What advantages or disadvantages do you see with that?

The disadvantage is the many stairs.

Slope location:
The street is about 2.5-3m below the single-family house, so at the bottom of the slope, the building plot at the top of the slope.

Therefore, the height difference must be overcome one way or another, either by an external staircase or an internal staircase.

We decided on the entrance in the basement. As already mentioned, I have to overcome a staircase anyway with a sloping plot of land. We find the staircase inside simply more practical. In winter, no snow shoveling, dry, and a staircase is necessary anyway to get to the basement, only with us it has a dual function since it also serves as the "entrance staircase." I also imagine that this way we save a bit on costs. A proper outdoor staircase is not free either. One should just consider that there is no direct line of sight to the front door from the living floor. Therefore, we are getting a video system so I can see who I am opening the door to.
