a 50€ line laser or an even cheaper transparent hose (hose level) solves your problem, or is the lantern more than 30-40m away? There are so many other ways to transfer heights over long distances (since it fits the topic: do you happen to remember that Old Shatterhand worked temporarily as a surveyor in a book?)

You can also find this in your construction drawing, how much floor buildup will be on the slab. If you don’t have a marking inside (we didn’t either, because the surveyors only came before construction and mistakenly only after completion).

We have a house on a hillside with 2 entrances.

The upper entrance is a concrete staircase clad with granite.
Between the house and the staircase we left the dimpled membrane as a separation. No problems for 5 years.
There are steel mesh reinforcements in the concrete.

Here I would only change the color, not so dark anymore.

The basement apartment is paved directly; under the stones there is a drainage and at the garage a birch gutter. So far no water problems.

This is a common "argument," although according to DIN it is completely irrelevant whether it is a timber frame or a masonry house.

Personally, I find it even more visually appealing and practical with a platform at the entrance.
What bothers me is the height difference at the patio windows :(

Yes, that could be done. Or I’ll wait until the screed is poured. The outdoor facilities won’t be properly laid out until next spring anyway, so I still have time to decide on a small pedestal if necessary.

The platform has now been poured and is to be covered with WPC.

Is it sensible to seal the concrete against rain with sealing slurry or something similar?
