I can hardly describe my question and don’t know if the three photos are meaningful enough. Today we were "digging around" at the borders of our property, of course only on our property. On this occasion, we noticed that one of the two neighbors has paved his driveway and his concrete base "underground" extends about 30 cm onto our side (the lower it goes, the deeper the base protrudes onto our property). Is this "normal" and permissible, or what do you think about it? Does this result in advantages or disadvantages for us, what do we need to consider? He has also installed concrete reinforcements for his "stone edges" in other places at the border on our property. Unfortunately, I can’t describe it any better.

Thanks in advance for your opinions, info, recommendations.

That is of course not allowed to do it that way. He would have to stay on his side. The question is whether this causes you any problems somewhere, what do you intend to put where his base is? It would be annoying if it hinders you, for example, from placing L stones yourself…

Live and let live... Does the pedestal bother you? If not, then good...

That is as normal and permissible as if you were to put your garage on his property. Otherwise, post from

If you want to pave there, that's not bad at all - you don't need your own curb. And planting is no problem that way either.

Yes, we wanted to place L stones on both sides to level the property. I don’t know if it will become complicated now.
