If you build a foundation for a fence and the foundation extends onto the neighbor’s property, the neighbor has the right to ask you to remove the protrusion. After all, you have no rights to the neighbor’s property.

I would offer the neighbor two options: - The overhang is removed by the neighbor themselves - You or your contracted company remove the overhang without any guarantee for its paving work. Depending on how thick the base is, I would start with a large angle grinder and chisel off the rest so that the foundation can be removed as evenly as possible. If the neighbor is cooperative, the distance of the L-stones to his existing edge can be minimized so that as few weed cracks as possible remain. So he has an interest in cooperating.

Of course, the question is whether the curbstones' upper edge is exactly on the boundary line.

Placing L-stones exactly on the boundary will be difficult without endangering the neighbor's driveway. You can, of course, cut off the overhang with an angle grinder and chip it away with a heavy rotary hammer. The concrete isn't that hard.

Still, talk to the neighbor. It's best if he helps a little. Otherwise, you'll have your first neighborhood dispute, even if you are in the right.

Otherwise, confrontation. Request in writing to remove the overhang, with a deadline. If not, hire a company to do it and send the bill to the neighbor. But then you'll have a war. That is not good.

It depends on what the neighbor says and how he wants to participate. Because he has to clear your property and remove his mess - or contribute to your garden and landscaping costs.

I will not address your question from a neighbor law perspective at all, since I have already read several times here that 30 cm is still within the margin of error for boundary line mistakes. Instead, I prefer to deal only with the practical dimension of your question:

If that's all there is to it, from my point of view the problem will dissolve into thin air, as I recently advised you in your site plan question , to avoid the nonsense of the L-brick fiddling. That only causes problems with the sense of balance as you get older, if you level every square meter of your property with a straightedge laid in water. Your terrain is so moderately lively that most questioners here would flat-out deny a hillside location in the questionnaire without blushing. Be glad that it is not flat as a parking lot. You don't have to be able to play marbles or set up a coffee table in every corner of your property.

What does the property actually look like? Are you sure you need L-shaped stones? If yes, then it will be critical anyway. Assuming that the curb is located on the property boundary, you also need a base and a small foundation for your L-shaped stones. So you would have to set back 10-15 cm as well. It looks absolutely ridiculous in the end if there is a 10 cm green strip between the curbs.
