Interesting to hear. So really €330k just for the renovation without the purchase price etc.? That's almost €2450 per square meter - you can build new to that standard for that price. I got the first offer yesterday if we have the windows installed. I had to sit down first to process how much more expensive that would be compared to ordering windows online. KFW70 was declared feasible by a consultant on the phone as well. However, I am currently facing the problem that everything must be certified in some way for the subsidies, and so far no energy consultant is willing to do that for self-performed work.

Well, new construction will be ambitious for that money. If I were to build a new house, I would first have to demolish the existing one. That would surely add up to 60,000-70,000 euros. Then I would have to build the new house at a reasonable price. And with a new build, I don’t have a basement or a space for heating or technical equipment. Yes, the 330,000 is for the core renovation without purchase price. The architect estimates 200,000 euros for the energy-efficient renovation. If it were financially feasible, I would also prefer to build new. But I believe that a new build (including demolition) costs more than a core renovation.

That the new building on your existing property including demolition becomes more expensive, I gladly believe that. That is not what I meant. The calculated price is then certainly to be seen as a turnkey renovation without any own contributions? For the energetic renovation, do you count insulation of the envelope and the heating?

Exactly, the price is to be seen without any own contribution.

Energetic renovation includes:
Heating
Insulation of the exterior shell
Insulating the basement ceiling
Replacing windows
Renewing the roof
