Unfortunately, renewable energies are hardly economical. Anyone who can do the math will realize that it doesn’t pay off. We are aware of that – especially for people like us with well-insulated old buildings and low gas consumption. This is a purely "ideological" decision. Gas would have to become exorbitantly expensive or the purchase prices for solar thermal/heat pumps, etc., would have to drop drastically for it to pay off financially. So don’t worry, you’re not the only one who has noticed that. For what the hell do you consume 20m3 of water per month?? We are 4 people with pets and a garden and consume on average about 80m3 or so per YEAR.Are you actually aware of what it costs to produce hot water with gas? I need 20m³ per month, a large family maybe three times that.... I can produce hot water with gas for many years before a solar thermal system ever pays off^^ 1500L buffer tank?!?! for what?
