...which are specifically filtered out in dB(A) (the dB(C) values would be more meaningful). The sound pressure levels of low frequencies are rated lower here, and they are not as easily heard by humans (which is why the A-weighting exists in the first place), but can still partly be felt or transmitted through structure-borne sound.

The question is: does a monoblock unit annoy the neighbors (and myself), or does one not perceive it.

My conviction (not yet personal experience): It can be built in such a way that it is not annoying.

Under normal circumstances with proper placement, the devices do not annoy directly under the bedroom window or similar.

If the heat pump is designed for coupling with solar thermal, the coupling of a low-temperature (NT) system with a high-temperature (HT) system works quite well.

The heat pump detects via the upper temperature sensor in the buffer tank that it is charged and consequently pulses the intermediate circulation pump. An internal heat exchanger integrated in the heat pump heats the internal circuit of the heat pump so that a flow temperature (VT) of 30° is reached in the heating circuit or, in hot water operation, the set temperature. The compressor does not pulse and is out of operation during this process, but only restarts when the temperature in the buffer falls below about 30°.

In case of self-installation, the additional costs compared to an otherwise identical fireplace insert without water are well below 3k.

Whether it is worth it or not is relatively irrelevant to me.
The alternative would only be to completely forego a wood stove.

Is the buffer tank then completely decoupled from the heating circuit at temperatures below 30°C?
