Why should a large storage cause more consumption in your opinion? It can be operated at a lower temperature and needs to be refilled less frequently. But just to clarify again that we've drifted from the "hydraulic storage" to the hot water storage. ;)

You have to ask my Jeisha. For hot water preparation it draws just over 1kW (1.0-1.3). 20-30 minutes to maintain the temperature every 1.5 days, more if hot water is used.

Yep, let's return to the original question.
==> Buffer storage unnecessary if only heat pump (and photovoltaics) are available

Since we are currently working on the topic of photovoltaics. We have a 300l buffer tank. With 2 small children, a mom who likes to soak her butt in boiling water every 2 days, and a dad who sometimes showers twice a day ... yes, 300l runs out quickly :p If you take more liters, you can also lower the temperature a bit because you can draw from the hot water longer. Otherwise, the trick with the photovoltaic system is to make the heat pump smart enough to realize that the sun is shining and increase the temperature. Then in the evening it no longer heats. So you draw from the water heated during the day, which now slowly cools down to the usual temperature. This way you get the most out of the photovoltaic system in good weather. But you can only use this advantage if you have a buffer tank. Without it, it actually does little for you.

That's why I also had a mega buffer storage installed. It's a secret tip and it's called screed. About 7 tons. You can store an incredible amount of energy in it and then you don't need a mini water buffer storage.

, maybe it's better if you just stay silent when other users are making arguments? Apparently, you have your core competencies in all areas... less is sometimes more.

Maybe better not, because bad arguments shouldn’t spread here. And the argument to heat a small buffer tank with the photovoltaic system (what temperature are we talking about for a buffer tank? Max. 60 degrees? And what size ==> around 50 liters storage per kW heating output is the direction, so 200 liters for a single-family house), so that you don’t have to heat at night anymore, is simply a very weak one. Because you can better heat the screed a bit more, so that this huge mass can give off its temperature calmly at night – compared to the small buffer tank. Buffer tank, not domestic hot water tank. Oh yes, : Now I would like to hear arguments from you.
