Hello Bookstar

I change the filters every 6 months. A cleaning is still absolutely necessary, I see it here on site live and in color.

I am happy to show it to you with an inspection camera.

Also, when using cone filters in the ceilings, the system has to work against more resistance. This is not good for the system in the long run.

The system is supposed to work for over 30 years.

That would make the principle of the ventilation system completely absurd if the "used" exhaust air was fed back again. Google crossflow heat exchangers as introductory reading.

Don't get me wrong, there will be people who spend several hundred euros for Mission Rohrfrei. But with proper system use, that's an action every 10 years, if at all.

I do not misunderstand this. Take your phone, go to the ceiling vents with the camera, and look at your ducts. You will be surprised.

No. The exhaust air goes outside - the supply air is sourced independently from outside.

As stated, dust in the supply air and exhaust air ducts must be removed. The VDI 6022 recommends cleaning the pipes every 3 years. It is in your own interest to clean the exhaust air and supply air.

A regular cleaning certainly can’t hurt. I get skeptical when it comes to "disinfection," since it’s not supposed to smell like chemicals afterward, meaning there would have to be a 100% odor-neutral product... does that exist?

Otherwise, I believe: 70% take care of cleaning the pipes themselves by opening maintenance flaps and brushing them through, simultaneously vacuuming with the vacuum cleaner. It might not be as good as your method, but it only costs 25€ for the brush... a one-time cost. The remaining 30% don’t want to get their hands dirty themselves and sign a maintenance contract when installing the system, so they are not really customers. Only controlled residential ventilation systems cleaning is an absolute niche that can be offered by a cleaning company or a house installation company, then it’s worthwhile. But offering ONLY controlled residential ventilation cleaning... phew, that would be like a car workshop that only offers oil changes.
