Hello Bookstar,

Our competitors charge 900€ net plus VAT for a cleaning with a brush, which is not effective.

In addition, the VDI recommends cleaning every 3 years. However, this is not mandatory.

We plan with a cleaning price of 500€ net plus VAT. This includes pulling through each pipe at least 4 times in the exhaust air area.

The supply air is done at least twice, including disinfection. As well as travel and assistants.

The time required is about 5 hours depending on the size of the system.

We probably won’t manage with 300€. I would also prefer to pay less as a customer, but we remain significantly below the price of the competitors.

Sorry, but that is nonsense.

So I see it because the room air (exhaust air) goes into the heat exchanger and depending on the recovery, goes back into the supply air. This is at least the case with my Alpha Innotec system. As a result, there will always be dust residues in the fresh air.

In addition, there is a fine layer of dust in the supply air ducts that must also be removed.

I can hardly imagine that. The heat recovery takes place via the heat EXCHANGER and not through a bypass that mixes the exhaust air with the supply air. Only the energy is transferred from the exhaust air to the supply air. Could it be that you are confusing this with the existing summer bypass in the supply line, which directs cold outside air past the heat exchanger directly into the rooms?

My concern is that the systems get dusty. Every customer we acquire, we show with an inspection camera how dusty the pipes are. We take care of proper cleaning.

Yes, it is also possible that I made a mistake there. I always have my heat exchanger in. I do not have the summer cassette myself and I do not need it either.

As I said, my concern is to clean the pipes cost-effectively and efficiently. I will upload pictures of my pipes in the next few days.

There are analyses that show that the supply air ducts are still clean after 10 years without cleaning. However, this assumes regular filter changes and that the system is always running.

In that case, cleaning would be unnecessary.
