Don't know if it was that wide for the sinks to fit in front or if there is more distance between supply and exhaust air because of it. After the photo, it was smaller.

Controlled residential ventilation is directly below

We have the supply air through the supply shaft at 2 m above ground and the exhaust air in the light shaft. You can't hear anything there...

Neighbor has an air-to-water heat pump for indoor installation in the basement. One outlet in the ground floor masonry, one in the light well. It works and has not caused any issues so far. It will certainly also work with a controlled residential ventilation system.

Controlled residential ventilation in the basement is often done. Also with us. Supply and exhaust air are conducted through wall penetrations and the soil to the desired exit point. This also has the advantage that the supply air is additionally preheated or precooled by the floor. Light well also works.

Hi ,

I am facing the same question. I want to install a Zehnder Q350. Initially, two ducts were recommended to me. However, there are various reports on the internet about mold, especially on the exhaust duct. Therefore, I will probably use ComfoPipe System 2 stainless steel pipes below ground level for supply and exhaust air. It doesn't look particularly nice, but I don't want mold on the house wall.

PS: The mold sometimes only appears after a few years.

: How did you solve it?

Regards, Joachim

Hello Joachim, thank you very much for your suggestions. I will take a look at it. Unfortunately, I have not solved anything yet, as everything has been delayed a bit or other things need to be clarified first.
