City villa window front - plenty of air space and travel windows!

I thought one would see the difference that one is a "wall" made of glass and the other is just a wall with two windows stacked on top of each other.

Even I, a gray-haired glasses wearer, see the difference - but neither where the architect's proposal would bring even a jot less (probably even more) window area to this facade side, nor was my inquiry about the price information answered.

I would consult another architect.

Or have him make a specific request to a window manufacturer who can build post-and-beam facades. Although I think even plastic window manufacturers handle such "small" areas with coupling elements.

We wanted a narrow strip of light over both floors, in front of the staircase/light space. The structural engineer almost had a heart attack - but it is possible due to abundant steel in the concrete. But - as mentioned, we have concrete, but the steel is not wider than in the first picture.

Something different, what does the energy saving ordinance say about so much glass? Also in the context of summer shading?

So the house in the first picture is from a house company in Berlin and this time you can even get it as a 40 Plus. For the shading, we thought about an exterior blind. Our architect also said it would be too big and a special custom-made one, although I have seen that once before in a picture.
